Save 24/06/2026 SDG 3 Udalsarea 2030 presents the hiriZAIN tool to integrate health and climate action into urban planning hiriZAIN is a practical decision-making tool that helps analyse urban plans and projects in terms of their impact on health, equity and resilience to climate change. The Basque Government’s Department of Health, BC3 and Ihobe have participated in the development of the tool as part of the Udalsarea 2030 initiative and updated through the LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050 project.

The Basque Country's network of climate shelters has identified 488 shelters in 11 municipalities. The public agency Ihobe has published a guide to help local councils identify, create and raise awareness of their networks of climate shelters.
